PlayStation Store Update April 15th

The PlayStation 3 will be getting its latest firmware upgrade next week with the release of 2.30. Also announced is the roll-out of the new PlayStation Store, which is apparently to kick-off at midnight on April 15th.
Also announced is the fact that GT 5 Prologue will be available from the store on April 17th.
According to Sony in the USA this will include:
"DTS-HD Master Audio is literally bit-for-bit identical to the studio master recording and makes movie soundtracks and sound effects truly come to life. The technology delivers audio at the incredibly high rate of 24.5 mega-bits per second (Mbps) on Blu-ray disc, which is significantly higher than standard DVDs. DTS-HD Master Audio also offers 7.1 audio channels at 96k sampling frequency/24 bit depths, so you’ll be totally immersed in the sound. The firmware update will add DTS-HD High Resolution Audio as well, which is a similar output technology that requires less disc space."

Sony in Japan, meanwhile, has announced the date for the Store roll-out. This is apparently April 15th - details available at this translated Sony page.
The major upgrade appears to be that the store is no longer to be web-based. See the details below.

DTS-HD Master Audio, is that better, worse or just trying to jump in on the same speced MLP base DOLBY HD standard.
Meanwhile, if you want to hear the best of the HD audio formats (not down sampled) Sony’s own DSD based SACD, then you’ll need a separate player not made by Sony. Or maybe they’ll launch HDMI 1.4 when they’re trying to get us to buy OLED TVs give us 1,000,000:1 contrast (alleged), DSD sound and a big pile of HDMI 1.3 kit that’ll be worth nothing second hand.
