Acclaim, Publisher of Dave Mirra’s Freestyle BMX, has announced the production of Maximum Remix, an enhanced version of the game, that will be developed by Z-Axis. Maximum Remix will boast new music, eight new levels, and an Expert Mode with unique objectives. Acclaim claim the original has now sold in excess of half a million copies, the majority having shipped in the USA. Acclaim has opted out of a Nintendo 64 version, a move that indicates their lack of support for the platform.

In total, Maximum Remix will have 20 tracks with new challenges and a 1,300+ library of tricks, including the “Wall Ride.” The game is set for a North American release in May. A European launch is expected this Winter.
