Wii-Make of Trauma Center Confirmed for West
Nintendo has confirmed that we'll all be playing the Wii version of its operating theater tactile surgery game Trauma Center: Second Opinion (which we told you all about last month) sooner than expected, with Nintendo America pledging a release of the game during the Wii's launch window.

Developer Atlus explains that the "...best-selling and critically acclaimed Trauma Center series of medical drama simulations. First, Trauma Center: Second Opinion was confirmed as a launch title for Nintendo’s new, highly anticipated console—Wii, which is poised to take the video game world by storm in the fourth quarter of 2006. This robust “Wii-make” of Under the Knife features new graphics and animation, new surgical implements and operation types, a second playable character with all-new missions, multiple difficulty modes for gamers of all skill levels, and a revised control system that takes full advantage of the revolutionary Wii Remote and Nunchuk-style controller."

Although the above comment reads as though the game will be available on day one, SPOnG believes this is an error and that the game will actually emerge in the launch window of the Wii, following the hardware release by up to several months...

We promise to keep you fully updated with all European Wii release information all the way through to the day you're holding one in your arms like a beloved and long awaited baby.

If they say from day one, why not Spong? This isn't a graphic heavy game at all, so I'm sure it would take less time to whip together because of that fact. So many game take long because of graphics and sound tweaking.
That leaves more or less interface and missions to really focus on.

If fact this game should be sitting next to Red Steel, a game which I'm sure requires a lot more work than TC.

I glad Atlus are getting their arse in gear with this game, when money bags EA are doing less for our money. Nintendo need the type of games Atkus usually offer to, which is more rpgs

Hey, trust me I'm a doctor.
